There are some risks in engineering construction projects because of thecomplex and changeable of project, the design risk and the fund risk etc. All ofthe risks usually affect the implementation of the project. In order to solve thepower load problems in NY company caused by the expansion of mobile basestation, now providing the diesel generator room expansion project. This projectwill increase AC load, and satisfy the needs of data center and ensure that thecompany is working normally by reforming and building a new diesel generatorroom, make a specific implementation plan reasonably by studying on long-termelectricity using planning and existing resources. In the process of project designand construction, how to reduce the appearance chance and the losses of risksis an important subject in this project risk research.This article is according to the actual situation of the diesel generator roomproject, defining the necessity of doing risks research in this engineering project.By the methods of engineering project risk research, this research is on riskplanning, risk identify, risk evaluation, risk response and risk supervisory controletc.In order to study and control the project risk, this article mainly includes thefollowing works:1. Collecting and organizing materials and data about NY companyexpansion diesel generator room project. Defining the project background andsignificance. Making sure the objects and methods of risk research. Introducingthe concept of project risk and project risk management.2. Analyzing theories about project risk management by reading relatedmaterials. Especially every steps in the risk management and the strategies ofrisks responses.3. Integrating the design and implementation requirement of NY companyexpansion diesel generator room project to analyze the necessity of the projectrisk management. Then doing some research on risk planning, risk identify, risk evaluation, risk response and risk supervisory control etc. Concluding that therisk directions and specific response strategies.4. Summarizing the works which are mentioned in this article. Approving theeffect of project risk management, control and response in the process ofdesigning and carrying through the expansion diesel generator room project ofNY company. Analyzing the gains and losses in the project risk management.And looking forward similar project risk management in the future.The top risk in this project is technical risk. How to deal with the technicalrisk in project design and construction process is the key of reducing the wholeproject risks. Therefore, the characteristics of project risk must be consideredsufficiently in the process of project design. Taking advantage of existingresources, and putting forward the response strategies.
