With the rapid pace of modern construction and the fast development of the general economy in China, the number of engineering projects become more and more large .All of these bring about the rising investment and prolongation of engineers project. And gradually there are more potential possibilities for a project process to be out of control.As the comprehensive social activity in the economy, technique and manage, organizes aspects, the engineering project exists the indetermination in everywhere. The engineering project needs to strengthen the risk management urgently. In the modern engineering project manage, risk management become one of the popular.The risk management of the engineering project carries on the control to the risk using the system, dynamic method, to reduce the indetermination within the project process. This article emphasizes the engineering project risk management should be the management of all the actives and respects during the whole project life cycle.This text researches the theories of the engineering project risk management and the process of management. Commencing from the knowledge system of the project risk management, it analyzes the whole process of the engineering project risk management. The paper introduces the basic content of the risk and the engineering project risk. And it introduces the risk identification, risk estimate, risk evaluation and risk reply, the risk supervision and control systematically.In chapter 1, a synopsis introduces the development history of project risk management in the domestic and international, and the risk management present condition and problem in the local.Chapter 2 is say of the engineering project risk management. And it analyzes the relation between risk management and engineering project.Chapter 3 elaborates the overall engineering project risk management. It proposes the idea of overall risk management. What's more, it studies the five facets of overall risk management processes. The five facets are risk identification, riskestimate, risk evaluation and risk reply, supervision and control. In the five facets, it emphasizes on the tools and the methods of risk identification and risk evaluation.In this chapter, risk identification method mainly generalizes to introduce the expert investigate method, fault tree analysis, work break structure, scenarios analysis, and so on. Furthermore, the article elaborates the advantage and shortage of those methods.The risk evaluation method is divided in to equal risk diagram, Monte-Carlo simulation and network planning technology method.In chapter 4, the article emphasizes on the viable methods—FAHP in the actual engineering project. Then it analyzes a case by the method.There are the dissimilarity views between this thesis and the traditional engineering project risk management. In tradition, project risk management pay attention to each specific phase and active in the implementation of the project. But in the opinion of my paper, Engineering project risk management should be the management of all the actives and respects during the whole project life cycle and based on the strategic objective .The theory needs the project risk manage can pay close attention to the strategic objective and the final outcome of the project and the overall effect deviation of the project as a whole .The article attempts to support the methods and thoughts of risk management for the engineering project manages in theories and methods.
