Beijing City Business Circle Development Research

Business is the carrier of the city’s economic development. With the development andimprovement of urban economy and city commercial, the formation and development ofthe urban business area has become to be an inevitable development trend. Theimprovement of urban business area has been playing an extremely important role instimulating consumer demand, promoting regional economic growth, upgradingcirculation industry and any other related industries. What are the main factors thatinfluence the development of urban business area, how can the urban business area growto be much stronger and more powerful are the core issues of this paper.This paper analyzes the current development situation and problems of three types ofBeijing urban business areas from eight perspectives. And then concludes the similaritiesand differences of the three urban business area categories. The goal of this paper is toprovide theoretical basis for the future improvement and construction of Beijing urbanbusiness areas.This paper reviews and concludes the related theories of urban business area at first. Onthat basis, this paper defines the differences between urban business area and enterprisebusiness circle, and analysis the dynamics nature of urban business area. Then this paperclassifies the urban business area into three different categories, they are the central coreurban business area, regional urban business area and community urban business area.On this foundation, the paper analyzes the main characteristics and main functions ofeach type of urban business area. After that, this paper analyzes the influencing factors ofthe urban business area development, including the scale of urban business area, location,target consumers, structure of different types of business, basic supporting facilities,operating management, urban business area brand and the role of government. Then thispaper analyzes the current development situation and problems of three types of Beijingurban business areas based on these influencing factors. Finally, this paper gives outproposals and suggestions for the future construction and development of Beijing urbanbusiness areas.
