As a form of social mobility, occupational mobility has been the focus areas forresearch scholars, the focus of attention of various state theory. After the reform andopening up, China’s urbanization gradually accelerated, rapid economic development,a significant increase in occupational mobility of residents, especially the small citiesand towns as the links between urban and rural economic ties and regionaladministrative, commercial and industrial center, absorbing a large number of ruralmigrant workers, play an irreplaceable role in the urbanization process in China.Qingdao is a rapid development in the reform and opening up coastal cities, alongwith further market-oriented reforms, the Qingdao coastal construction of small townshas changed dramatically.Field survey of occupational mobility in the three coastal residents of small townsin Qingdao based on the theory of occupational mobility, combined with theoccupational mobility of domestic and foreign scholars, using a combination ofliterature and empirical research, the three coastalresidents of small townsoccupational mobility conditions to conduct a preliminary analysis, and factorsaffecting the correlation analysis, to explore what characteristics and existingproblems of the occupational mobility of the new era under the small coastal townresidents. This study mainly consists of five parts: the first part, described the researchbackground and significance of the article and the study of innovation andinadequacies; summed up the status quo at home and abroad on occupational mobilityand the use of relevant theory and concepts; once again illustrates the thesis ideas andresearch methods; Finally, the assumptions and thesis framework and description ofthe issues related to occupational mobility. Second part of the Qingdao coastal surveyof occupational mobility status of the residents of small towns. Include five areas: abrief description of three small towns of the Qingdao coast, the basic situation of therespondents, the inter-generational occupational mobility status quo on behalf of thestatus of occupational mobility, occupational mobility of reasons. Which respondentsinclude: work the number of unit type, education level, age, type of account, andmarital status; intergenerational occupational mobility research include: comparisonof the educational level of parents and the child generation, occupation, two aspects;intragenerational occupational mobility studies include: respondents unit type ofchange, career changes, job changes, career changes in the way, vocational training,educational status, job satisfaction degree six. The third part of the macroeconomicfactors of the occupational mobility of coastal residents of small towns. Urbanizationpolicy, marine economic policy, industrial restructuring, these five areas of land theland use system and the household registration system. The fourth part, themicro-factors of the occupational mobility of coastal residents of small towns.Including the respondent’s family background, cultural and educational factors,occupational mobility will, these four aspects of gender factors. The fifth part of theoccupational mobility characteristics of the Qingdao coastal residents of small townsas well as problems.
