In response to the development of community economics, the hotel industry in China has been developing rapidly, which provide a firm foundation for the enlargement of employment. It is common knowledge that hotel services include both hardware and software, the latter is of vital importance to the hotel management, the most important and critical sector in the latter is hotel staffing. However, employee draining is a long-term hassle to the hotel management and the situation has become ever more serious with the advent of knowledge economy and life rhythm speeding up, especially even more serious in talent draining. Therefore, how to undo the issue of employee draining is critical to the hotel resource management and hotel industry development.On the basis of the relevant theories in human resources and organizational behavior, the author has made an investigation on the current situation of employee draining of star grade hotels in Yibin city, analyzed the causes of high rate employee draining from society, enterprises and individuals aspects with the case study of hotel L, and proposed solutions to the problem in five aspects.The thesis includes six chapters.In chapter one. the author gave a simple overview of the thesis.The second chapter is consist of relevant documentation and basic theory. The author analyzed the concept, current situation and causes of employee draining in hotel industry by using the methods of comparison and induction. Some researches has been made to this topic, but only studied of hotels in same grade, not to a specific hotel.In the third chapter, the author adopted questionnaire-investigation to analyze the current situation of human resource management and causes of high rate employee draining of hotel L in Yibin city,in order to provide a groundwork for further proposing of effective measures to this problem. In the fourth chapter, the author expatiated the negative influence that the employee draining brings to hotel L in Yibin city in four aspects.In the fifth chapter, the author put forward the measures to the issue of employee draining in hotel L in Yibin city in five aspects, that is, improving the recruitment pattern, establishing the payroll and employee benefits systems, strengthening hotel culture construction to provide comfortable work environment for employees, setting up common benefits mechanism between hotel and employees by taking incentive policies,and the last aspect is to attach great importance to employee career management.Chapter six is the conclusion of this paper, which also pointed out clearly the insufficiencies in this paper.
