With the continuous development of China’s economic, companies and employer organizations are changing day by day. It not only reflects in the gradually scientific organizational structure but also in the high demands of employees. In this environment, employees’occupational stress continues to increase. The occurrence and spread of occupational burnout is intensifying.Job burnout not only affects the individuals’ physical and mental health and work efficiency of theirs, but also is related to the efficiency of the operation and the functions of management level of enterprises. Serious burnout or even turn to massive employee turnover and so on. This is not consistent with the historical background of comprehensively building a well-off society and building a socialist harmonious society. The main factors affecting the burnout are personal characteristics factors and job situational factors. Maslach, the famous scholars on burnout’s study, arrived at a conclusion that the job situation factors played a greater role in the affecting to burnout than the personal characteristics factors by the research in2001. In the21st century, the burnout research, which were affected by the impact of Maslach’s view, is mostly concentrated in the job situation factors. Discrete personality characteristics and alike job situational may be the cause of this situation when we take all the employees for the research group. However, when we take the group which have the alike individual characteristics for our research, the situation maybe different.In this study, we take the middle managers of state-owned quoted companies for the research group and assume that the personal characteristics factors and job situational factors jointly influence the individual degree of job burnout. This study regards Maslach’s burnout theory, job demand-resources model (JD-R model) and the big five personality model as the theoretical basis,and studys on the status and impact factors of the burnout of middle managers of state-owned quoted companies. The main conclusions of this study are:(1) There is a high level of burnout for middle managers of state-owned listed companies;(2) The four constituents of the job demand factor have a positive predictive effect on the status of job burnout.;(3) The four constituents of the job resources have a negative predictive effect on the status of job burnout;(4) The five constituents of the big five personality are related to job burnout, among them, the sociability plays a outstanding positive predictive role, responsibility plays a outstanding negative predictive role;(5) job demand factor and job resources factor have interaction in the process of affecting job burnout.Meanwhile, the study also has some limitations. All the achievement and limitations of this research will provide valuable information and experience for the subsequent job burnout study.
