Research On The Interactive Development Between Urbanization And Service Industry

Proceeding Urbanization and optimizing industrial structure is always the important content of national economic development. The12th Five-Year Plan emphasizes that:Achieving balanced development among different regions, pushing urbanization in a positive and sound manner, speeding up the development of service industry, and taking to promote the development of service industry as strategic focus of industrial structure optimization. The urbanization level is an important sign of economic and culture in a country or region. The higher a country or region’s economic development level is,the higher urbanization level is.If large scale development of light industry is the first wave of pushing urbanization through industrialization absorbing labors, and the development of service industry with heavy industrialization is the second wave which lifted non-agricultural industries to absorb workforce.At present(2009)the urbanization level of Hebei province is43.73%,and is at the stage of fast development of urbanization. So it is worth studying how to seize the opportunity of urbanization to proceed to urbanization of Hebei deeply.The service industry, as a strong absorption of workforce, can promote the urbanization process of Hebei. Low level of development of service industry in Hebei, besides, development lagging behind, hinders the urbanization.In this paper,we take the coordinated development of urbanization and service industry in Hebei province as study object,using the methods of quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis combining, static state and dynamic state combining,comparative analysis, expert consultation and some relevant economic theories, we analyze the development of urbanization and service industry in Hebei by the numbers and then combining with the problems which exist in the present situation of Hebei, table proposals about promoting coordinated development of urbanization and service industry in Hebei.In this paper, firstly, we review the related researches on urbanization and service industry at home and abroad, and on this basis, we expound definition of urbanization and service industry, and mutual mechanism of action, and then design indicator system about urbanization and service industry. secondly, we qualitatively analyze development of urbanization and service industry in Hebei, The results show that:the urbanization of Hebei is at the stage of fast development, but the level is still under the average level of the whole country; The level of service industry is low, and that lags behind urbanization level. Again, we dispose data with nondimensionalization, get the weight of each index according to the improved AHP, and then get the comprehensive level of urbanization and service industry, on this basis, we use co-integration test, error correction inspection. Granger causality test, impulse response analysis to study the development of urbanization and service industry in Hebei. Analysis shows that:there is a long-term equilibrium relationship between urbanization and service industry in Hebei, the development of urbanization is the reason of development of service industry in Hebei, while,the development of service industry is not the reason of development of urbanization, the urbanization of Hebei have an great positive effect on the development of service industry, while,service industry have little effect on urbanization, almost tend to0,which agrees with the results of Granger test. At last, according to analysis, we proposal that:to take transforming the mode of economic development as the main line, to promote the upgrading of industry structure, to create regional economic growth pole, to proceed to urbanization deeply and so on.
