| Road transportation is the national economy’s fundamental industry, its developmentis the ultimate goal of promoting and promote national economic and social development,and constantly improve and improve the people’s living standards, greatly satisfy the needof the society. As the capital city of shijiazhuang city in hebei province, is located in thebeijing-tianjin connection shanxi-hebei-shandong-henan area important transportation hub,and road transportation in the whole city development plays an important role. In thispaper the author to their own17years work experience and feeling as the main line,combined with the road transport industry in recent years, in a lot of real data collection,to summarize results, analysis situation, and the problems existing in the industry, from"development idea, legal system construction, industrial organization and personnelquality, etc in profound analysis root. Also according to shijiazhuang road passenger andcargo traffic volume changes in calendar year and the developing tendency, incomprehensive transportation demand on the basis of analysis, according to the area of thetraffic volume of traffic basic data and economic index analysis, by the use of the multiplelinear regression method, the elastic coefficient method, exponential smoothing methodfor for a period of road transportation capacity traffic volume forecast the trend. At thesame time, the strategic development theory, industrial organization theory and the roadtransportation development, the provincial capital, combined with practice, and putsforward its development goals and shijiazhuang city road transport should be adopted inthe aspects of strategic development strategy11.
