A Study On The Development Power Of Provincial Border-regions

Provincial border-region also known as inter-provincial border area or adjacent districtprovince，which is located in the province and the provincial phase of place. Its geographicalposition, the condition of natural resources, industrial structure, cultural background and thestage of development, etc are similar, but such regions are generally economically backwardareas. In the future,Regional development should pay attention to the marginal areas, fully tapits edge effects, improve the edge of the urbanization level, and improve the basic approach oftheir overall competitiveness. The urbanization and the economy, the society and so ondevelopment are closely related.This paper takes the Taonan, Jilin province as the researchobject, on the fringe of urban development in the inter-provincial power, combined with thestatus of the marginal zone of urbanization, study the urbanization development problems,this paper puts forward the development of urbanization way for the city.Except the epilogue, the full paper is divided into five parts:The first part is an introduction that introduces the background and the significance ofthe topic, the research thought and methods fo the subject, and discusses the domestic andforeign outside urbanization level as well as the present situation of process study and thetheoretical basis.The second part makes an analysis of the urbanization characteristics of provincial fringearea from three aspects which include the diversity of town development background ofprovincial fringe area, the lag of town development situation of provincial fringe area and thecontradictions of town development process of provincial fringe area.The third part analyzes the urbanization development dynamic mechanism of provincialfringe area from three aspects. The first one is the basic dynamic. Basic dynamic is also calledfringe effect, which is a special exogenous power of fringe area. Then it is the leading powerwhich includes administrative force, market driving force, superior industry gathering forceand external capital driving force. The last one is the auxiliary power, mainly including thepower of two central towns and similar towns all around.The fourth part, an important one in this paper, using Taonan city as an example,analyzes its urbanization development situation and its urbanization development dynamicmechanism. Besides, it makes a quantitative analysis of central town force, similar town forceall around and economic forces, which confirms the effect of these forces.The fifth part, according to the particularity of Taonan’s geographic location and alsobeing a town of provincial fringe area, puts forward some conservation ways so as to ensure a well and quick development of urbanization, strengthen the construction of industrial clusters,eliminate the obstacles of administrative economy, play effort of provincial fringe area andstrengthen the ecological environment protection.
