Liaocheng Canal Tourist Resources Development And Research

The Canal beared an important function in the history,and it also played an important role in promoting the economic and cultural development of the coastal cities.But now this transport function is replaced by more convenient transportions such as railway, aviation and waterway. With the apparent weakening of the Canal’s transport functions, the economic of some cities along the canal shifted from the bustling to poor,Liaocheng is one of them. Of course,some cities develop well,but not base on the Canel.We can not give up the exploring of the Canal,and should probe how to make the Canal helps the coastal cities develop forever. With the development of the tourism and the recognition of the cultural value of the Canal, the tourism practitioners pay more attention to the exploring of the tourism resources of the Canal.Liaocheng was a bustling city attributed to the Canal.The HuiTong river which flows through the hinterland of Liaocheng brought the prosperity in economy and culture for Liaocheng for hundreds of years,and formed many precious historical heritages. We should excavate these cultural resources fully, and put them into the building of the canal tourism products, forming the tourism products which represent the characteristics of the city and have unique attractions,to promote the development of the city’s tourism.On the basis of fieldwork and literature searching, this article uses the method of comparative analysis and synthesis,analyses of the exploring of Liaocheng canal’s tourism resources in basal conditions,the present situations and the main problems,points out that the exploring of Liaocheng’s tourism resources has broad prospects,but exists some questions in lack of attractiveness, not well known and inadequate promoting.Based on the above all, we can make full use of the knowledge in economics,combined with marketing and tourism psychology theory, propose measures of the exploring of Liaocheng canal’s tourism resources. Through the analysis of the present situation of the canal tourism in this city, this article puts forward four key projects for development,and makes recommendations in many angles such as combination of agricultural and tourism, regional joint, creative marketing and so on,to integrate the canal tourism resources of Liaocheng.
