With the rapid development of economic globalization and modern informationtechnology, for the company facing with unprecedented competition and challenges,the competitive environment turns from the “seller’s market” to the “buyer’s market”.For customers who require enterprises to provide better quality, greater flexibility,more choice, higher-value products and lower prices, therefore, in order to meet thedemands of consumers, the enterprises should not simply rely on its own strength, butalso seek common development and win-win cooperation with supplier sin the supplychain.This paper takes a research on three suppliers for KAILAN Cashmere ProductsCo., Ltd in Chifeng. Firstly, it analyzes the concept of supply chain management andsupplier management with concepts, methods and steps of supplier selection andevaluation; secondly, with the design principles of evaluation index system forsuppliers, the paper constructs supplier selection an devaluation index system withseven indexes such as product quality, price, supply levels, technical capacity, servicelevels, production capacity, and internal competitiveness; lastly, by fuzzy evaluationmethod, the paper makes an evaluation of three main suppliers from managementconcept, information processing capability, delivery and service, quality capability,cost and production skills, and reaches an conclusion.
