Poverty Research Based On Fuzzy Set Method

Poverty is a common challenge all countries in the world is facing, and our country has been committed to alleviate poverty in order to alleviate poverty’s variety of adverse effects in economic and social aspects. Through continuous input of poverty alleviation, the poor production and living conditions have improved obviously, poverty alleviation has gone from adequate food and clothing as the main task of the stage into to consolidate the achievements of food and clothing and improve a new stage of development ability, narrow the development gap. But because of the overall level of the economic and social development is not high, regional development imbalances, deep contradictions which restrict the development of the poverty-stricken areas still exist. Poor areas, especially in concentrated special difficult area, for development relative lag, deep poverty, survival condition is poor and so on, where is becoming the most difficult area to overcome difficulties in poverty alleviation and development, it will be our country’s battleground for poverty alleviation and development in the future.On the premise of all sorts of resources are relatively limited, in order to reduce poverty more effectively, to use the limited resources on those most in need, and improve the efficiency of poverty alleviation, first must to identificate the poorer. But for the most common tools for the recognition of the poverty mainly is the poverty line at present. The identification methods are widely adopted in the world, since it has also the advantages of easy operation, easy to understand, but it is narrow the meaning of poverty, and too much limits the clarity of the poor and the poor, and neglect the interests of the "marginal groups" who not on the poverty line,but close to the poverty line.Therefore, the article tentative regarded the "poverty" as a fuzzy concept, after summary the widely used method of poverty measurement analysis, it is proposed to use fuzzy set approach to the recognition of object poverty effectively. Constructing fuzzy poverty index first, secondly, in the form of questionnaire in tongdao county of hunan province is related to data collection, and then calculate fuzzy poverty index of farmers in the region. According to the size of area of fuzzy poverty index, poverty population is divided into high, medium and light three types. On the basis of the accurate identification of, respectively, aiming at three different levels of poverty for root cause analysis, then aimed at specific poverty causes poverty reduction measures are put forward respectively, to largely improve the performance of the poverty alleviation work, efforts to reduce the poverty of resources for poverty alleviation.
