Analysis Of Poverty Factors In Contiguous Destitute Areas

This paper analyzes the causes of poverty in Contiguous Destitute Areas from the perspective of three major geographical factors.First of all,according to the theory of geographical nature,this paper constructs the index system of poverty analysis in the Contiguous Destitute Areas,and uses the synthetic altitude,the environmental fragility,the agricultural production potential and the water resources suitability to represent the first nature,and uses the location index and the traffic convenience to represent the second nature,and uses education period,communication convenience to represent the third nature.Secondly,three major causes analysis models were established by gray correlation method,to explore the causes of poverty in 14 Contiguous Destitute Areas.Meanwhile,the main causes analysis method was used to analyze the difficulty degree of 680 Contiguous Destitute Areas.The results show that:from the spatial position,the eastern part of the mountain,such as the Dabie Mountains,Yanshan-Taihang Mountains,Daxinganling Nanlu mountains are mainly due to the third nature;the central mountains such as Luo Xiao Shan,Luliang Mountain,Liupanshan,Qinba Mountainous areas,Wuling mountain area are mainly due to the second or first nature;Western mountains such as Tibet,four-province Tibetan areas,Xinjiang,3 prefectures of South Xinjiang,Yunnan-Guangxi rock desertification area,western Yunnan border area are mainly due to the first nature.The study also found that each mountain is different in its correlation with the three natures,and the cause of poverty is different even if it is caused by the same nature.Therefore,the policy should be implemented according to the corresponding poverty causes and poverty type,different circumstances,to prescribe a medicine special for the disease,and to put forward poverty alleviation policy recommendations in consideration of the regional difference.
