Large area TFT LCD applications include Notebook, Monitor and TV product. TheLCD TV use area is the largest, LCD TV instead of traditional image tube television,grow the fastest. TOP five TFT-LCD manufacturers get75.9%worldwide capacityshare. Because the capacity continues to grow and lead ahead demand, TFT-LCD panelprice always drop fast and rise slowly.The A company is world third TFT-LCD maker, behind the first two big LCD panelfactory about5%. Due to A company vertical integration degree, part of self-control,material can be greatly reduced cost, tie-in global unique specification5.5generationplant, production and19w,22w,32w and the mainstream products in cost have verystrong competitiveness. But must know that it is inventory management ability, and thecombination of two customers, the A company weak performance of the project.With SWOT, five force model and blue ocean strategy analysis method, we tried toprovide a case study for one of these LCD makers—A company. The developingstrategy is listed as follows:1. Considering LCD product mix instead of installing larger next generationproduct line.2. Applying advanced technology to another whole new market, beyondInformation Technology and Television.3. Expand existed advantages in low production cost and high vertical integration.
