For machine tools, the geometry error of the various parts is constant. In all geometric error, geometric error of spindle system is passed to the cutting tool or workpiece by the rotary motion, which is most obvious influence on machining accuracy. At present, the study of spindle rotation accuracy mainly adopts the method of test after production. So it is difficult to guide the design of high precision spindle from the high theory perspective. The development cycle is long, and because of the assembly process of randomness, it is hard to sum up the design theory of main shaft. The purpose of this paper is to explore the main factors influencing the rotation accuracy and a method to improve the spindle’s rotation accuracy by the main shaft of the geometric model. The article research content is as follows:Details of the structure and basic design requirements on traditional spindle and motor spindle.Contrast present situation and the technology gap of precision spindle at home and abroad,research content on this article precision spindle.Detailed analysis of the rotation error of the spindle system, and propose a modeling method.Using six degrees of freedom motion model based on the homogeneous coordinate matrix, analyze the basic form of the motion of the spindle rotation error.Give a geometric error model of spindle, bearings and bearing hole.Propose error handling method that creating a geometric error often used.Introduce rotational error research methods on the spindle, and visualization role in the study.Create mathematical model of the spindle system.A rotary system error model of spindle is derived.Use visualization capabilities of the Matlab, writer the rotational error model analysis software on the spindle.Using software to analyze the role of the law that affect the sources of error of the spindle system motion accuracy.detailed analysis the law that front and before the spindle journal roundness error, circular runout error, concentricity error and the size of the error influence the spindle rotation accuracy;Made a visual analysis clearance and the inner ring roundness error of the bearing;analysis the force of the direction impact on the spindle runout;detailed analysis the law of the spindle span overhang the ratio of spindle system influence rotation of the accuracy. Using the software,analyze the sources of error on affecting the accuracy of machined parts.Visual analysis is used in the journal roundness error, eccentric bearing clearance and spindle nose;And analyze the impact of processing cross-section from the machining direction and the ratio of the spindle span overhang.
