Energy consumption of per ton steel is reducedyear by year. But compared with foreign advanced level in our country the averagecomprehensive energy consumption of per ton steel and the gap are very big. Fromthe source and basic energy saving by using the theory of system energy-saving,energy flow analysis problems is necessary.(1)In this paper the analysis energy flow conversion process and the level oflaw were analyzed based on the predecessors’ research of the energy flow model. Ironand steel production process, only five kinds of the kinds of energy and they cantransform each other; energy level always spontaneously from high level to low leveltransformation under the condition of not consume additional energy;(2)In-depth analysis was carried out on the flow of energy and more detailedflow chart was put forward according to the different source of energy. The generalmodel to analyze the relations between the various energy flows was established thatestablished the foundation for energy flow analysis.(3)The influencing factors of energy efficiency was analyzed according to thedetailed energy flow diagram. Energy efficiency could be improved by educing theloss. And energy loss of iron and steel production in different levels effects on energyefficiency was analyzed.(4)After the theory research, for a certain steel plant site investigation, theenergy flow of its main production unit-the CDQ unit and the coke oven unit wereanalyzed; the corresponding flow of energy analytic results and image resolution weredrew and set up of each unit. The main unit system energy efficiency were82.32%;the sensible heat of the coke dry quenching unit red recovery rate reached91.1%.Through the analysis of analytical results, the big proportion of the energyflow of energy flow was fund out, that provided the theory basis for the energy savingmeasures.(5)According to the results of a coking plant,the energy flow model was established,the relationship between energy flow and the coke production wasestablished. Through analyzing energy flow model of coke oven unit and validation,practicality and reliability of the model are obtained. That provides a method andbasis for the prediction of energy, and other units can also be in accordance with thismethod analysis of iron and steel industry.(6)Finally, from the perspective of macro analysis of energy consumption andproduction of coking plant, coking plant energy flow diagram was drew and its netcoke energy consumption was calculated. The coking plant of tons coke coke energyconsumption was121.17kgce/t.
