In recent years, the demand for high quality textile products has increased year by year, especially for natural fabrics. Cotton fabric as a kind of high quality nature fabric is favored by the consumers, but cotton fiber supply shortage, the high prices have become a key factor restricting its development. While the polyester industry technical level is higher than the other synthetic fabrics, the polyester fabric with a low value-added and profit. Polyester industry faces with the upgrading and transformation. In this context, the development of high simulated cotton-like-polyester fabrics is ready to come out. According to the recent research of domestic high simulated cotton-like-polyester fabrics, the technology researches in the cotton-like-polyester fiber and yarn spun have made great progress. However, the development of good high simulated cotton-like-polyester products is not only the single use of differential fiber technology, but with mutual fusion and innovation in spinning, weaving, dyeing new technology integration each link.In this paper, face with the weaving technology and the performance evaluation system of the fabrics is imperfect, in order to develop high simulated cotton-like-polyester fabrics which suitable for ordinary working fabrics, through learning of the characteristics of high simulated cotton-like-polyester fiber and yarn, then improvement and optimization of the process of weaving preparation, meanwhile study of the performance of high simulated cotton-like-polyester fabrics and establish its evaluation system. It can provide reference for the development of similar products. Specific researches and conclusions are as follows:(1) Study of the raw materials of high simulated cotton-like-polyester and its blended yarn performance, then compared with cotton, we can concluded that high simulated cotton-like-polyester is fine, soft, luster is close to cotton, and it has a low breaking strength, the breaking elongation between cotton and ordinary polyester staple fiber, and cotton-like characteristics significant. Different blending ratio of high simulated cotton-like polyester/cotton blended yarn, along with the increase of the ratio, the yarn performance is relatively close to the fiber’s performance;(2) Research of the characteristics of high simulated cotton-like-polyester yarn sizing at low temperature without PVA, and then compare the sizing rate, the strength and elongation, the wear-resisting, the hairiness and many other performance of sizing yarn between conventional sizing technology and low temperature ultrasonic sizing technology, between acrylic size and grafted starch size. Finally select the ultrasonic grafted starch sizing technology as special crafts and size of high simulated cotton-like-polyester yarn. (3) Integrated with the basic characteristics of ordinary working fabrics, obtain six kinds of fabric which have consistent specifications by designing and weaving samples. At the same time, make a systematic testing, researching and analyzing about the cotton-like performance and effect of high simulated cotton-like-polyester fabrics which have different blending ratio, such as mechanical properties, appearance style, heat and moisture comfort and so on. Finally reach the following conclusions: compared with the pure cotton fabrics, high simulated cotton-like fabric80/20and35/60have a better tenacity and wearability, while the mechanical properties of pure cotton-like-polyester fabric are slightly poor. Compared with pure cotton fabric, when increasing the blending ratio of high simulated cotton-like-polyester/cotton fabric, the wrinkle resistance, drapability and dimensional stability improved obviously, the anti-pilling effect is very good, and the cotton-like appearance is remarkable. With the increasing of the blending ratio, the air permeability and the guide wet ability of high simulated cotton-like-polyester/cotton fabric is superior to pure cotton fabric obviously, the moisture absorption and moisture permeability is inferior to cotton fabric, but there are a great improved when compared with ordinary polyester fabric, the comfort and cotton-like effect are also significant.(4) Carry out fabric style test for high simulated cotton-like-polyester fabrics in different blending ratio by using KES-F style test, then analyze the style of fabric with principal component analysis of SPSS, finally extract three principal components of cotton-like fabric: Conformality, fullness and stiffness. After analyzing the result data carefully, can reach a conclusion that high simulated cotton-like/cotton35/65fabric is suitable for ordinary working fabric, which has low requirements for softness, but the conformal and fullness should be excellent. At the same time, get the change laws and features of the basic and comprehensive style of fabrics with different blended ratio, which can make theoretical guidance to develop different working fabrics for different requirements.
