With the rapid development of the national economy and the electric power system’s reformof market economy, the modern power system is facing many challenges. Such as theestablishment of interactive platform between power company and each terminal; improve thereliability and security of power distribution network; improve the distributed power gridcompatibility. Industry thinks generally, the development of smart grid is a necessary way tosolve these problems. Construction of the smart grid is a large and complex project, needs thedistribution, which is the first step in the construction of advanced measurement system.Therefore, the research and design of intelligent electric meter system has theoretical andpractical significance.This paper first introduces the development status of the topic background and the researchsignificance, the domestic and foreign intelligent meter system, standard smart meter. Throughthe analysis of the standard and the actual situation in our country, using MSP430chip,ADE7953chip and GPRS module design of the intelligent meter system. The system can bedivided into the smart meter nodes, gateway nodes and service nodes. The main function of thesmart meter joint has a multi-parameter measurement, real-time clock, storage andcommunication function. The multiple parameter measurement and high accuracy of electricenergy metering and solves the problems of low precision and smart meter information andsingle etc. The main function of the gateway nodes are transmitting data and instructions, whichacts as a bridge between the smart meter and the Internet network, the real-time communicationof smart meter system problems. The third chapter introduces the principle of electric energymetering. Firstly, gets voltage and current simulation using current and voltage transformer.Through the two order Σ-Δ A/D conversion modulator analog-to-digital conversion, andcombined with the first-order sigma-delta modulator structure analysis sigma-deltaanalog-to-digital conversion principle. Finally, combined with the producer of the AD chipADE7953introduced the main parameters of algorithm and measurement. The fourth chapterintroduces the radio network and mobile communication technology combined withcommunication in smart meter system. Through aggregation protocol, and the introduction ofFDMA technology in the protocol solves the child node delay errors caused by competition orother reasons and the problem of channel blocking production. Combined with the nRF905carrier sensing function introduced in emergencies at nodes offered communication requirementsimplementation scheme. Finally, through the GPRS module of gateway nodes self-organizednetwork connected to the Internet network, and realizes the communication and service site. Inorder to establish a multi-level network architecture composed of intelligent electric meter nodegateway node and service node. A scheme to implement the communication not only expands thewireless communication distance, but also greatly enhances the work efficiency of GPRS network. The fifth chapter, the sixth chapter combines low-power thought separately designedhardware circuit and software of intelligent ammeter system.Finally, the designed circuit are assembled and debugged. The test results show that: thesystem is stable, strong real-time, high precision measurement. The system can not only meet thebasic requirement of common electric energy metering, but also by the power factor, no power,over-current, overvoltage, the peak value of the effective monitoring of power grid and exchangeinformation in real time. The system reached the requirements of the advanced measurementsystem. There is a certain reference value for the research on the development of smart grid inchina.
