EPC (Engineering-Procurement-Construction) project-contracting mode is thetrends of today’s international project management development,technology and themethod of integrated management applied to engineering construction field cansignificantly improve it’s performance,but the research of the integrated managementof EPC projects as well as the management of the project with different target priorityare relatively fewer. Integration management theory combined with EPC managementmode has important practical significance to improve the management level ofengineering construction in our country, strengthen the international competitiveness ofChina’s engineering construction enterprises.At the same time,with significantlyenhanced of the economic strength and the international status of China, there are moreand more schedule-first EPC projects such as Olympic venues,World ExpoPark,National defense projects etc.Therefore,the paper making the EPC project ofschedule target priority as research object,making the idea of integrated managementinto the management link such as building organization structure,working out thescheduled plan,carrying out the project control etc. Aim to explore the integratedmanagement methods of the EPC project with priority schedule target.The reasonable structure of organization is the guarantee of integratedmanagement,scientific project scheduling is the prerequisite to achieve scheduletarget,efficient process control is the key to achieving the goal of EPC project ofschedule target priority.Therefore, the paper study on the key technologies of the threepoint process.On the basis of analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of the strong and theweak matrix structure,to seek for the competition and balance of the strong and weakmatrix, put forward to apply disequilibrium matrix to the organization of EPC project,tobuild a more balanced and efficient organization structure,laid the organizationfoundation for integrated management of EPC project.The paper analyzed the flaw of traditional schedule management method as CPMand PERT,applied gray forecasting model and gray correlation evaluate model intoworking out the progress plan,predicted procedure durations reasonably,quantized therisk factors and correlations of durations,to work out a more reasonable scheduled plan.The Earned Value Method originated in the national defense projects, is one of the most widely used integrated management method in engineering practice,which impliedwith time as the first priority,is in accordance with the characteristics of the object ofthis paper. The earned value method,however, has the following flaws: progress index ismeasured by value,cost index is not in conformity with the statistical principles,lack ofquality index,convey information ambiguity.etc.On the basis of integrated managementtheory,combining the principles of statistics and the theory of quality cost etc.the paperput forward the corresponding improvement measures for the flaws of the earned valuemethod.The improved earned value method can dynamically reflect the runningdeviation during the implementation of the project,predict the development trend ofproject accurately,and ensure the achievement of the project goal.Finally, the papertaking a hydroelectric project in Yunnan province as an example, demonstrates theapplication of improved earned value method.In short, this paper research on the above three aspects and put forward the theoryand method of schedule-first EPC projects integration management,has great directivesignificance and good applicable value.
