With the economic growth of iron and steel enterprises in the nationaleconomy, the proportion of iron and steel enterprises is growing, metallurgical equipmentresearch is also gradually thorough, but China’s metallurgical equipment research startsvery late, comparing with abroad has a big gap. Wire bundling machine is an importantpart of iron and steel enterprise. Wire feeding mechanism is an important constituent offull-automatic wire bundling machine,it contains wire feeding wheel, drive plate, guidewheel, hydraulic cylinder and hydraulic motor. Good or bad performance for the wirefeeding mechanism determines production efficiency of the bundling machine, closelylinking with the benefit of iron and steel enterprise and having a great realistic meaningfor design of the wire feeding mechanism. At present the bundling machine researchliterature is more, but less research on the wire feeding mechanism, this paper isspecifically for the wire feeding mechanism of virtual design and performance analysis ofstrength and has some certain value and innovation.Based on the feeding mechanism of SUND BIRSTA full-automatic bundlingmachine, designing a set of wire feeding mechanism, through the theoretical calculationof the wire feeding mechanism, hydraulic cylinder, hydraulic motor and bearing havebeen selected for the system.Solidworks is used to do3D modeling, assembling and interference checking for thewire feeding mechanism. Motion is used to do motion simulation. Through3D modelingand assembling, the wire feeding mechanism is made factually. Through the interferencechecking task, it can see assembling improper, or size design is reasonable, so as to thefurther adjustment. Motion is used to do motion simulation to see movement situation ofevery component in the mechanism. Through simulation, it can get pictures for eachphysical quantity to provide a basis for the whole optimization of design.Through the stress and strain analysis of ANSYS on the main force parts, just likeguide wheel, driving wheel, eccentric shaft, According to the stress deformation of thelarger area, calculating in theory, putting forward the corresponding measures to avoid.For the improvement designing of the main stress components to has some referencevalue.Wire feeding system as the core part of the line feeding mechanism, using ANSYSsoftware to analysis the wire feeding system of feeding mechanism, comparing with thetheoretical results, getting the reliable result.The driving plate wear and life are calculated at last and summarizes the method ofstrengthening the driving plate. This paper designs a set of wire feeding mechanism of bundling machine and usesthe Solidworks and ANSYS on the virtual design and analysis of strength, through thecomparison with theoretical results, making sure of the results are reliable. Basing on thetheoretical calculation of the driving plate sums up the methods to improve the strength.The research content and research methods provide reference for the other wire bundlingmachine designation and has some reference value for improvement of existing wirefeeding mechanism of bundling machine.
