Abstract/Summary:
Automatic pipe end chamfering and milling head machine is a important finishing equipment of steel pipe production line.The purpose of this project is to design parametrically new automatic feed mechanism of chamfering machine for large-diameter, thick-walled steel pipe. The main contents of the study are: the use of ADAMS for dynamic simulation analysis and design optimization, structural optimization design by using ANSYS. This topic inherited and perfected the Tianjin Science and Technology Support Program key projects- Automatic pipe end chamfering machine milling research, at the same time, the research results into practical products to meet the market requirements for new products, reducing the cost and reducing energy consumption.In this paper, design and optimization of the new pipe chamfering machine for φ660which is a kind of hydraulic push-feed mechanism, mainly is based on the optimal design of ADAMS’ dynamic simulation analysis. It can obtain the optimum installation location of hydraulic cylinders and agency’s overall optimal size, as well as based on ANSYS’ finite element simulation of parametric design analysis and optimization of design, It can draw key levers’ optimum structure size which can meet the actual needs. By ADAMS simulation analysis and optimization of design, the feeding mechanism’s two hydraulic cylinders were reduced by an average of propulsion 41.8% and 74.4%; maximum propulsion were reduced by 79.4% and 95.4%. Through parametric modeling and design optimization of ANSYS, two key bars’ weight which also carry the weight of feeding mechanism were reduced 49.65% and40.36%. Through optimized design and compared to the initial design model,the feeding mechanism has the following advantages:1、According to the optimization results, we can guide the installation of new products;2、Reducing the energy consumption, simultaneously, the hydraulic original selection is more economical and practical;3、Reducing the weight of key levers, saving materials and reducing the cost of production;4、For other forms of feeding mechanism and multi-agency steering rod, it can provide a reference that experienced design is converted to theory design.
