The girder supports a variety of loads in crane, which is the main force member in crane and the major design object in crane design. It’s a great significance to study the rapid design of crane girder.Summarized, analogy and analysis the modern rapid design methods, realized the application of knowledge engineering and expert systems are generally throughout the entire life cycle of product design; the modular design and parallel design is even more focused on the entire product, the design is from the overall product, the range is macro; parametric design do not need overall product design, it is very flexible, can achieve rapid design of the parts and components of general machinery products. Discussed the status of crane design, lead to the problems of crane design, especially the rapid design application ideas for the problems of crane-aided design. Research the design process of general mechanical products, and discussed the process of innovative design and retrofit design. Research the parametric principle of the CAD graphics, the methods of parametric design, the XML, and the secondary development technology. With the study of girder parameters modeling method, the building of constraint equations and naming rules, realized the building of parts parameterized Model Library. Research the rules of part features XML table and the assembly process parameters XML table, and the key calculation process of section design and force analysis in parameter calculation XML table. Finish the formation of XML table, and the finite element analysis of the force in crane girder. Research the methods of Spreadsheet call the XML table, Part bulk parameterization, the assembly process parameters and design versatility.With the support of all the principles, methods and techniques, develop the rapid design software tools and test and verify the rapid design method of girder. And comparison with the design method of the general main beam, the efficiency can be improved about4times. Show that the above method is very effective to improve the efficiency of product design and shorten the development cycle, and enhance the competitiveness of enterprises.
