Along with China’s rapid economic development, the environment for humansurvival under increasing damage. How to effectively implement the strategies ofsustainable development, and solely on the strengthen of the relationship betweenmankind and nature are particularly urgent and important. Construction especiallyexisting building is the major energy consumption industry areas in China, and it alsohas a low energy consumption and emissions lots of carbon dioxide. China has becomeone of the major countries on energy consumption, in terms of both building area andquantity. It’s a great potential to save energy on altering the existing buildings. In thispaper, the annual carbon emission reductions of the project are estimated at563.3tons,the sulphur dioxide emission reductions at1.83tons, the nitrogen oxides emissionreductions at1.59tons and the dust emission reductions at1.18tons. So external wallthermal insulation has a significant effect on energy saving.Green building as the current major trends in the development of nations, but thereare some misunderstandings of its meaning, so in this paper by referencing someforeign countries in some developed countries’ development of green building industry, come to promote the development of green building market factors. Combined withChina’s actual development requirements, analysis of green building and generalconstruction differences in the understanding of green building assessment standardsunder the premise. Finally combined with the transformation of existing buildings, green technology, analysis of various transformation pathways can be implemented. Ituses the evaluation method based on engineering and economics, and then chooses thenet present value to evaluate the economic profitability of the project, finally establishsthe economic analysis model, based on technical and economic evaluation of existingbuildings energy-saving benefits of a comprehensive analysis. According to theestablished technical and economic evaluation model, we applied the model to theactual case, which calculated the corresponding economic and environmental benefits. Finally, combined with our green energy-saving renovation in existing buildings onthe developments in the technical and economic point of view the problems found toexist, then from the environmental aspects, economic aspects and other aspects of the proposed policy recommendations accordingly. Green energy-saving renovation ofexisting buildings to do efforts to improve green construction technology, develop newgreen building materials, improve the quality of construction and management staff, onthe other hand need to broaden the financing channels and the introduction ofcommercial operation mechanisms to promote energy efficiency of existing buildingsgreen energy-saving renovation in our country’s rapid development.
