Research On The Mode Of Small-scale Compound Facility For The Aged Community Nursing Service

The aging of population has become an inevitable serious problem in the course of the social development. The rapid growth of the old, the small-scale and the empty-nest familys challenged the traditional home-based and the institute-based care service. The12th Five-Year Plan suggests building a home-based,community-relied, institute-supported new care service with Chinese characteristics. The community nursing services plays an important role in the whole care services for the aged. The new community nursing service, like the nursery for the aged, the day care centers, the old service station and the family nursing home, has made some positive exploration. But there are still a lot of problems.The author firstly gives a brief introduction to the development of the nursing model at home and abroad. Through the contrast of the home-based care service, the community care service and the institute care service, the author emphasizes the necessity of the development of the community care service. The author also makes an investigation on the domestic small-scale nursing facilities to know the status and problems of the community nursing service. Secondly, makes an introduction and exploration to theory of the living environment and the nursing facilities of the old, including the elder demography, the elder psychology, physiology, the elder sociology, the environmental psychology, Powell Lawton’s elder ecology, making a theoretical preparation for the latter research on the nursing needs and facilities of the old. Thirdly, the author summed up the "Visiting, Day care, Short-living" needs and the act model of the old. Fourthly, based on the former investigation, the author puts forward the concept of the small-scale compound community nursing model and makes a deeper exploration to the "Visiting, Day care, Shorting-living" model. Then the author makes an exploration to the small-scale compound community nursing model and gives some suggestions to the other community service facilities from the aspects of the site selection, the construct way, the host, the function combination and the layout. Finally, through the introduction of the project, the author proves the possibility of the small-scale compound community nursing model. Based on these former theories, the author puts forward the idea of networking the community nursing based small-scale compound community nursing facilities, to make it a firm foundation for the whole nursing system, to improve the nursing system for the old.The small-scale compound community nursing model has its own universality, dynamic and continuity in the service type. It will become a connection between home-based nursing, community nursing and the institute-based nursing system. It has great theoretical and practical significance to the integrity and the continuity of the built of the social nursing service system. It can help to achieve the aim that the old people are provided with a sense of security, a good medical care, a good teaching, a life-long learning, a sense of worthiness and a sense of happiness.
