With the development of science and technology and medical level,all the countries inthe world are faced with the serious problem of aging.At the end of 20 th century,the problemof aging in China has been also gradually prominent,and at the same time,with thecharacteristics of age before it gets rich.Due to the policy of population and socialdevelopment of our country,the family structure shows the feature of centralizing,andminiaturization,home care mode is challenged,more and more old have began to tend topension institutions.Pension institutions is an important part of the social pension and thesupport of the social endowment service system.China's social pension system is not perfect,especially the institutions endowmentpatterns is still in the initial stage of development.The construction of institutional endowment facilities and layout theory foundation is weak,and it lacks practical experience,cause that the majority of our institutions endowmentfacilities are difficult to meet the need of the elderly the old pension demand.I researchinstitutions endowment facilities construction layout optimization strategy from the field ofcity planning in order to provide useful theoretical basis for the layout of the city ofinstitutional care facilities construction to.Survey on the elderly living in Zhengzhou was conducted,it concludes the elderly'sattitudes on pension,demand for the institution of pension facilities.In addition,the in—deathinvestigation on the type,scale,construction year,distribution characteristics,the surroundingenvironment and the use of the endowment facilities in the five main cities of Zhengzhou citywas also conducted.In comparison with the distribution characteristics of the elderly,the level of aging andthe needs of the elderly and the status quo of the institution of pension facilities in Zhengzhoucity,it finds that there are many defects in the construction scale,the urban spatial distribution,the service radius and the location of the old age facilities in Zhengzhou City,so that socialinstitutions endowment resources can not be fully utilized.According to the study on domestic and foreign scholars on institutional pensionfacilities related theory,focusing on location theory and customer oriented theory,learningfrom the experience of the United States,Japan and Singapore institutions in the developedcountries,and combing with the development of local aging,the paper put forward theoptimization strategy of the construction of pension facilities in Zhengzhou city from the fouraspects of construction scale,service radius,location and policy.
