The comprehensive passenger transport hub is the product as the urban andtransportation had jointly developed to a certain stage. Large-scale transport hub isgenerally based on transfer hub of railway, highway or aviation and puts the regularbus stop, taxi stand, public parking and long-distance bus station together. Its mainfunction is to realize quick and convenient movement of passenger flow and increasecomfortable in case of possibility.The overall layout planning of comprehensive passenger transport hubs has beenconducted in many big cities in our country which has now entered a stage oflarge-scale construction. In stark contrast to the rapid construction is with therestriction of the leading management system in our country, the construction ofcomprehensive passenger transport hub is often lack of unified planning. Cohesionbetween external and internal transportation modes is not smooth. The transferdistance is long and capacities do not match. Therefore, how to realize the efficienttransfer connection between different modes in transport hubs becomes an urgentproblem to be solved.The paper researched on transfer connection methods from the aspects of transfermode and capacity matching, and evaluated the design plan. First, through thecomparative analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of each layout mode andthe transfer mode, based on the concept of “people-oriented, the flow-priority”, thepaper put forward the feasible design schemes of the transfer organization pattern forthe transport hubs of railway, highway and aviation. Second, under the designprinciple of considering the interests of both passengers and operators, based on themodels of capacity calculation of the external and internal transport modes, this paperput forward the capacity matching planning method. Third, the paper studied all kindsof factors which affect the transfer safety, convenience, timeliness and smooth of the hub, put forward evaluation index system and gave the definition and calculationmethod of each index. Using extenics’ characteristic in solving contradictory issuesand combination of quality and quantity problems, the paper put forwardcomprehensive evaluation method of transfer connection program based on extenics.Last, the theoretical achievements obtained in this paper were applied to LiaoyangCenter Bus Terminal to verify its accuracy and practical operability.
