Research On Transfer Facilities Of Urban Comprehensive Passenger Transport Center

Urban comprehensive passenger transport center, as one of the urban transport infrastructures, is animportant place to provide transport service, and has been playing an important role in contacting the innerand inter traffic. It is the key to set up transfer facilities reasonably for improving efficiency and giving fullplay to the role of hub. However, the imbalance between supply and demand as for the increasing ofpassenger, and the reason of regime that leads to incoordination of modes and transfer inefficiency. So thesize of hub transfer facilities and their design plans need to be further optimized. In this background, thisresearch pays close attention to transfer facilities of urban comprehensive passenger transport hub.Firstly, we define the concept of comprehensive passenger transport hub and transfer facilities,including the definition, function and classification. And make clear that the object of this study is theurban comprehensive passenger transport hub which is dominated by railway. According to the transferprocess of passengers, transfer facilities could be divided into the station facilities, distribution facilities,connection facilities and information facilities.Secondly, we discuss the calculation methods of scale for each kind of facilities, arrangement formsand their parameters systematically, and adopt the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method to evaluate therationality of transfer facilities based on AHP in this paper. In the process of evaluation, we set up thetransfer facilities evaluation index system which is conducted in passenger satisfaction, transfer facilitiescoordination and transfer efficiency.Finally, we take Jiefang Gate, Xi’an City, which is just a comprehensive passenger transport center,for example and summarize the problems of its facilities and then take quantitative evaluation throughactual investigation. And we put forward specific optimization scheme which is for optimizing busplatforms, taxi parking lots from the angles of reducing conflict and convenience to transfer. What’s more,we present a long-term vision based on the development of the hub which includes the followingsuggestions: distributing passenger flows of Xi’an North Station, integrating transportation routes, openingup the north square of the railway station and propose three-dimensional layout for transfer facilities, so asto provide some reference for the reconstruction after expansion in the future.
