This paper examines the same-translated word from the new words table of the text for teachingChinese as a second language. which is the beginning—intermediate level. It is a study about theinfluence of the translation for English background students learning Chinese. At first, I work outthe number of the same word from the three sets of selected materials, and calculate thepercentage of the same-translated word in the text of the early—intermediate teaching Chinese asa foreign language. Then we can get to know that the number of same-translated word is morewhen in early level than that in intermediate level.It is mean that the same-translated words willgradually reduce with the development of study.Then I classify the same-translated to be twopart from the semantic and pragmatic. Semantics aspects them can be divided in fourparts:synonym relationships lead to the same-translated words,common morphemetranslation,equivalent translation of the words with meaning;and the mistranslation,Pragmaticaspects can be divided into four parts:collocation objects of different, different scope, differentcolors and different degree. Find out the causes of the same-translated in the classificationprocess. Then combined with English background corpus of student writing materials to analyzethe errors caused by the equivalent translation of the words with this argument, thesame-translated word reasons mentioned above is correct or not. The last is proposed solutionsfor the same-translated words from the two part:textbook compiling and teaching practice. Thisstudy is hoped that can make a contribution to the teaching materials and teaching methods forteaching Chinese as a foreign language.This study is divided into five parts: the first part is a summary about the topic, includingthe purpose for the research and value as well as the research basis and related research. Thesecond part is analysis about the translation phenomenon for the three sets of textbooks in thenew words list. The three sets of textbooks as the object of study: why do that is because I wantto explores the cause the words with the same-translated words. The third part is the analysis ofthe corpus in vocabulary errors by foreign students;it can prove the study for the same-translatedwords will do good for the construction. The fourth part is suggestions for avoiding thesame-translated word from two aspects of textbook compiling.The fitth part is the conclusion ofthe paper.
