Practice Report On C-E Translation Of Science RA Abstract

The role of English Abstract is to illustrate the main content of a researcharticle(RA) in English, which, certainly, should be in accordance with the stylisticfeatures and standards of RA abstract. Science RA, applying science style, reflects thelanguage features of science style as formal, objective and logical.This report adopts a quantitative and qualitative study on the stylistic features ofRA English abstract at a structure and language level, especially at lexical, syntacticaland textual level. Based on these features, this report demonstrates some methods andskills of C-E translation of science RA.Through theoretical research and translation practice, that stylistic features providecanonical form of science RA abstract translation which can be attributed to variousfactors is found.
