At home and abroad based on the analysis on the spatial distribution characteristic of the historical and cultural sites, on the basis of the research status of applying GIS technology, studied the JiLin region from paleolithic to the Bohai time and space distribution characteristics of the period of the site, found that the spatial distribution regularity of the site and the similarities and differences, has important reference value to research on the ancient ruins.Through the research, obtains the period under the condition of site space distribution is consistent and have their own differences. Bohai during site distribution, in promoting the region more sites in this area spatial distribution density is a strong connection. Each period the proportion of sites within the stream buffer is different, the Bohai period is the highest. Most of the sites distribution between200-500m, and the Bohai in the minimal height proportion within the period of change; Bohai site distribution between3-6during the period of highest proportion.
