The logo design in universities is a symbol of the unique brand culture and spiritconnotation in universities, which is the core element of university brand image system. It hasthe unique characteristics. The logo design embodies the overall image of the school, which ismore unambiguous, more accurate, and more convenient than a lot of beautiful words. A goodcollege logo can show the school’s unique teaching idea and brand value, which is thegraphics performance of art. A successful college logo design should highlight theindividuality and nature. It can not only make people generate goodwill in the first time, butalso leave a good memories. It also can be applied in carrying out school works, words anddeeds of teachers and students, and setting up the good social image.However, many universities logo design images are fuzzy. The intention of logoconveying is different from actual situation. The reason is the sightless imitation of othercolleges without regarding to their own cultural background, which eventually leads toproblem of its own brand image. There are some universities where the effect of designconcept is interfered executively, which is harmful to the fusion effect of designing. The finalperformance of logo is restrained. There are also some colleges and universities whose logomeans too much and many of them have no relevance, which greatly reduced communicationeffect.In this paper, through the use of literature analysis, comparative analysis researchmethod, case study method, the calibration of design culture at all times and in all countriesthe University logo design combined with the application of language performance, summedup the general application of the logo design ideas.Especially prominent representative textname of the logo design, highlight the regional cultural characteristics or landmark collegelogo design, highlight the characteristics of education in Colleges and universities sign design,highlight the integration of traditional culture and the idea of running universities design thefour categories of the division for the logo design and the design ideas are classified has acertain reference value.It can be said that the accurate grasp of cultural connotation of logo design in universitiesis the symbol of vitality and charm. A university logo design, which has unique culture canfind a real foundation of its own, and show its unique artistic charm and value. Therefore, we should establish multiple design ideas and create different university logo to participate insocial competition which has become a urgent affair.
