This article is a translation project report. The original text of this translation report is aworld famous open class from Harvard, the speaker is Dr. Tal. This report have3parts, first,in this class he elaborated the theories of psychology and his requirements of this class. Heconsiders happiness is the sole criterion to measure the life and the ultimate goal of all goals;he advocates a more flexible way of teaching. Second, this report analyses this class from Dr.Tal from these different aspects, words, sentences, paragraphs and his language habits of allthe class. Based on Eugene Nida’s functional equivalence theory, utilize different translationmethods, such as addition, omission, compiling and more to solve the problems in translating.Third, summarize the enlightenment, lessons and the problems to be solved.
