Liu is the "rear guard" of Neo-Confucianism in Ming Dynasty, he played an important role in the whole Neo-Confucianism. Mr Mou Zongsan considered that the Neo-Confucianism of Ming Dynasty died with Liu Zongzhou’s starvation and death. From the literally means,"rear guard" means that Liu Zongzhou made the Neo-Confucianism came to a degree of perfection, a degree to summary and reflection. Liu Zongzhou learned from different Neo-Confucianism ideological factions. At last he formed his own unique ideological system of "Ji mountain school of thought". His philosophy summarized and developed from Ming dynasty or even throughout the whole Song and Ming Dynasties thinkers, philosophers’thought, so the study of his thought is of great significance.Many of Liu Zongzhou’s work reserved, and the contents are complicated. As the "rear guard", he summarized various schools of Neo-Confucianism thought, the Neo-Confucianism, Qi theory, heart-mind theory and other various thoughts. Especially, his ideas and his ideological combined Qi theory and heart-mind theory, which have played a decisive role in the history of the development of Neo-Confucianism.There are3parts in this paper.This article first introduces the significance and purpose, At home and abroad Liu Zongzhou theory current research and study of his "Qi" theory, a simple account of the historical background and character background.The body part mainly analyze and study Liu Zongzhou’s "Qi" theory, and analyze relationship between Liu Zongzhou and other philosophical category, at the same time to contact his relationship with various philosophical thoughts, the "Qi" important position occupied in his system of philosophy. At the end of the article, expounds his "Qi" theory philosophy significance and academic value, point out he as neo-confucianism to summarize the positive influence and negative influence.
