Chinese Characters teaching to foreigners occupies very important position in the whole teaching system of Chinese as a second language, but this kind of teaching is lagging in the long term. Especially, Chinese characters writing is a difficulty for Chinese character teaching to foreigners. If students want to write Chinese characters well, it is necessary for them to understand the characteristics of their forms, and learn them from the strokes of Chinese characters, which is the smallest unit of Chinese characters. In view of this, the paper is based on the research achievements of the form of a stroke and the order of strokes. It makes an on-the-spot investigation about the five Chinese character teaching materials which are more influence. The paper inspects the design about the form of a stroke, and the order of strokes and the exercise, which put forward the suggestions on writing Chinese character teaching material, and then put forward the effective method of teaching the form of a stroke and the order of strokes. It targets more guidance to the teaching of Chinese characters.This paper is divided into five parts. In this paper, by analyzing the reasons for the formation of Chinese characters strokes and the order of their strokes, and by arranging the standard of Chinese characters strokes and the order of strokes, the paper comparatively analyses the design of five textbooks for Chinese characters strokes and the order of strokes and the exercises about Chinese characters strokes. First the paper proposed some suggestions of Chinese teaching material writing and the method about teaching Chinese characters strokes. At the same time, the paper suggests our teaching Chinese characters should be epochal and interesting.The first part introduces the origin of the study, current research about Chinese characters strokes and the order of strokes at home and abroad, and current research about the strokes of Chinese characters teaching and the contents of Chinese characters strokes in Chinese character textbooks. The first part points out that the purpose, significance, research methods and thoughts of the thesis. The second part researches the formation of the form of a stroke and the order of strokes of Chinese characters, as well as their standard, and discusses the subjective and objective reasons of their formation, which explains that normative strokes of Chinese characters is in line with people’s cognitive psychology. If People write according to normative the form of a stroke and the order of strokes, they can write quickly and beautifully. However, the form of a stroke is various and their names are confusing. The rules of the order of strokes are complicated hard to remember. The standardized form of a stroke and order of strokes is the need of teaching Chinese as a second language. The uniform national standards should be used on the form of a stroke in the teaching material and teaching. But the rules of the order of strokes are varieties, so the basic stroke order rules should be popularized for elementary Chinese learners and avoid too complicated.The third part makes comparatively analysis of the design about the form of a stroke, the order of strokes and the exercise according to the statistics results, which gains from the numbers of lessons and related contents of Chinese characters strokes and the order of strokes in the five textbooks. The content and practice of specific design for Chinese characters strokes in the five teaching material is listed in the form of a table. It points out the strengths and weaknesses of each teaching material on Chinese characters strokes design, and put forward thinking and suggestions on writing textbooks according to the specific knowledge of Chinese characters strokes. At the same time teaching materials should be specific, interesting and systematic, and to make full use of scientific and technological achievements, to reflect the characteristics of the era of science and technology.The fourth part researches specific teaching methods of teaching Chinese characters strokes and the order of strokes, and also put forward teaching the form of a stroke and the order of strokes according to the use frequency of Chinese characters strokes. The beginners should grasp every specific order of strokes and grasp the knowledge of Chinese characters strokes according to different grade rating. Will use the correct order of strokes to write new characters and master the order of strokes from quantitative change to qualitative change. The explanations about the specific rules of the order of strokes should avoid being loaded down with trivial details. Moreover, this part suggests our teaching Chinese characters should be epochal and interesting, which makes full use of science and technology brings convenient conditions to mobilize the enthusiasm of students learning better and improve teaching efficiency.The fifth part makes the conclusions, which include the main points of the full paper and conclusions summarized. And also forecasts the design of teaching materials and the class teaching, in order to achieve the standardization and unification of the form of a stroke and the order of strokes teaching, which improve the efficiency of Chinese Character teaching to foreigners teaching.
