Task-based approach is a theory and a approach that pay attention to express thesignificance of language. It`s outstanding the dominant positions of students and uses a newmethod to guide the second language learning. Task-based approach is developing on thebasis of constructivism, second language acquisition theories and systemic functionallinguistics. The teachers should follow authentic principles, consistency principles, interestprinciples and interactive principles in the teaching process so that they can help the studentsto solve the realated tasks to finish the language learning. In the pre-task phase, during taskphase and post-task phase the teachers should assist the students learn the languageknowledge well. Teaching Chinese as a foreign language of elementary comprehensivecourses are service on the beginners or who can speak simple and limited Chinese. It`s animportant stage to lay a good knowledge foundation and to enhance comprehensive skills tothe students. Elementary comprehensive Chinese language courses have the followingfeathers: it`s in a dominant place of all lessons, emphasis teaching vocabularies andgrammars, develop comprehensive skills. The principles of elementary comprehensiveChinese language courses are the students in a center place, develop communicate abilities,gradually teach the courses and use the language to the practice. These feathers and principlesare similarity with task-based approach. Especially the aspects in teaching principles,developing abilities and the students in a dominant place. Thus this paper will combinetask-based approach and elementary comprehensive Chinese language courses, so I set thelesson I`m watching TV as an example to use task-based approach to solve the difficultproblems in elementary comprehensive Chinese language courses. Then put forward therevelations of enhance the teacher`s comprehensive qualities, standing out the dominant placeof students and combine with varieties teaching methods.
