C-E Translation Report On Business And Investment Project Of Xinjiang14^th Agriculture Division

The report describes and analyses the problems the author was encountered with during the translational practice of the project description of the Xinjiang14th Agriculture Division.The translational practice is based on Newmark’s communicative translation theory. Strategies to the existing translation problems are given according to the analysis of the characteristics of language and text of project description.The report consists of five chapters. In the first part the author clarifies the task background information and gives the brief introduction of the task content.The second describes the whole translation procedure including the preparatory work, difficulties in the process of translation, methods of modification and proofreading. The third chapter explains the necessity and significance of the communicative translation theory application and according to the characteristics of project descriptions and its text type. The fourth chapter puts forward useful translation techniques by specific illustration. In the final part the author summarizes the principles of translating project descriptions.
