Recently, there is a significant increase in amount of people learning the Huqin in Malaysia, most of them came into contact with the instrument due to their partici-pation in school societies. And this is precisely the reason that triggered the author’s decision to learn the art of Huqin performance during his first year at middle school.The reasons for learning the Huqin varies, some love the instrument’s unique tone color, others like the traditional culture of China while a handful just want to be exclusive. Regardless of the reasons, an effective pedagogy is the main purpose that will ignite the pursuance of a learner, and throughout the process of teaching and awareness of learning theories, the teacher plays the most important role in making the most effective decision on a student’s musical depth and technique. The increase in amount of learners expanded the market for teaching, also causing the emergence of Malaysians heading to several conservatories in China to pursue a higher artistic learning, and these Malaysians will soon become the future pedagogues of chinese instrumental performance. Different conditions of a country yield different cultural environment, and in the teaching of Huqin, the author will pay a close attention to compare and acquire the strengths of various pedagogies in different places and coun-tries, with a hope to expedite the career development of Huqin in Malaysia.
