| As the first and the only systematic theory for interpretation in the current world, theInterpretive Theory is founded on the observation and analysis of interpretation practices,and the study is not restricted to language itself, but involves the conveying of meanings.Based on a Consecutive Interpretation of Luhua Group Promotion, under the theoreticalframework of the Interpretive Theory, this report describes the whole process of theinterpretation and analyzes the interpreting details throughout many examples, andconcludes with the findings of the task.The speech of this promotion includes opening and closing remarks, introduction toenterprise, development strategies, innovative products and honors, etc., involving a largenumber of professional technical terms of the food industry. Owing to that the Chinesesource text of this paper is characterized by the vocative function and carries a host oftechnical terms. The Interpretive Theory is conducive to getting rid of the constraints of thesource text and maximally achieve the goal of expressing the original ideas and promotingthe products.There are five chapters in this report. The first chapter is Task Description, mainlyintroducing the background and requirement of the task as well as the features of thedocument. The second chapter is Process Description, touching upon advance preparation,interpreting process and quality control mechanism. In the third chapter, TheoreticalFramework, the author laid special stress on explaining some basic concepts of theInterpretive Theory, such as sense, cognitive complement and the three stages ofinterpreting procedure. The fourth chapter is Case Analysis, in which the author analyzedthe cases of sentences and cultural-loaded expressions from a micro perspective, and putforward several interpreting strategies. The fifth chapter is Conclusion, in which the valuesand the limitations are mentioned.It is hoped that this report could give inspirations to its readers and other interpreters. |
