| Currently about punctuation academic research mostly focused on the ontology research and comparative studies, and little research related to the actual teaching. In addition, punctuation in teaching of Chinese as a foreign language is limited. This article is based on the Korean students’ compositions in a middle class from the College of International Cultural Exchange, Central China Normal University, investigating the use of punctuation among the intermediate stage of Korean students.First of all, I selected100compositions as the research objects from the collected corpus, and established another corpus. On the basis, I figure the various types of punctuation in the frequency of use and the number of errors in the foreign students’ compositions.Secondly, I briefly describe the evolution of punctuation, summarize the function of punctuation. Such as the basic functions of qualitative:pause, tone and expression, and auxiliary functions:punctuation rhetoric, aesthetics and simplicity. I refer to the latest Punctuation Mark Usage (GB/T15834-2011), and analyze the types of punctuation errors in the intermediate Korean students. In addition, I carry on statistical data and error analysis, summarize the bias characteristics in the intermediate stage of Korean students:(1) Korean students at this stage use a relatively complete variety of punctuation, involving a total of12categories common punctuations;(2) the frequency of using punctuation is high, and the number of period and comma is the most prominent;(3) various types of punctuation errors. Subsequently, I summarize and analyze the types of errors with examples in the stage of Korean students from the punctuation’s writing appearance, writing format and using functions. Based on these characteristics and bias errors, I combine the objective environment with students’ subjective factors, to analyze the causes of punctuation errors. Finally, I integrate the actual teaching and give my advice on teaching punctuation from the four aspects:foreign language curriculum standards, teaching materials, teaching activities and teachers, in order to provide a little reference for the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language, and to accelerate further development of Chinese. |
