As the old saying goes, interpersonal language communication originates from one’s month while ends in others’ears. Although speakers are not able to pronounce every syllable correctly and handle all the tones completely standard, listeners can still comprehend them through analysis, memory and comparison. At present, people have already got a much deeper understanding of the characteristics of teaching Chinese as a second language and agree that Chinese teaching not only demands teachers to handle basic Chinese language knowledge comprehensively, but also values those theories and skills of teaching Chinese as a second language, especially how to utilize teaching theories to lead their teaching activities in practice. For all languages, pronunciation together with intonation plays an important part. Interpersonal language communication begins with pronunciation as if infants would make some nonstandard and strange sounds when they learn to express themselves after adults. Therefore the aim of teaching Chinese as a second language is to teach Chinese Language learners the frame and system of pronunciation and intonation. As a Russian native speaker, I have over15years of experience of using Chinese language and culture. Through my own experience and what I got during interpersonal exchange, Ⅰ realize that a great number of foreigners are still suffering from some problems with their pronunciation not only during the primary stage, but also during the intermediate stage and even senior one. For Russian-native-speaker oversea students, Chinese pronunciation is the biggest headache for them since Russian is a kind of language without intonation, which puts much pressure on Russian native speakers during their first contact with Chinese language. How shall we help the Chinese language learners to overcome those difficulties and what measures shall we take to reduce and solve their pronunciation problems? I think we can get the answers from those pronunciation deviations as well as their reasons. Moreover, we need develop corresponding teaching methods. Therefore, my thesis title isThe Pronunciation Deviation of Russian-native-speaker Oversea Students during Their Elementary Stage of Chinese Language Study&The Corresponding SolutionsBased on my13years of Russian language teaching experience, the practice of teaching Russian-native-speaker oversea students Chinese language, the comparison between Chinese and Russian teaching, and the theories of deviation analysis together with my own Chinese study experience I provide some suggestions about Chinese intonation teaching. In this thesis, I analyzed the pronunciation and intonation recording during their elementary stage of Chinese language study through "Gold Wave" software and "Praat" software. And I also researched the difficulties of their Chinese pronunciation as well as the internal laws through deviation analysis.
