Consecutive interpretation of TV drama is a kind of practice which is practical and effective. Before one becomes a professional interpreter, for example, taking part in conference, events or business negotiations, he or she needs a large amount of practice and preparations. The innovation of this thesis lies in the combination of practice and interpretive theory. Under the guidance of interpretive theory, the practice was better and because of the practice, the understanding of the theory was deepen, vise versa. Leaning is practicing. Firstly, the paper is going to introduce the content and major thoughts of interpretive theory and its development. Then it will present the combination and analyze of the theory and practice in order to deepen the understanding and realize the practice. Due to de-verbalization%omitting and triangle model in interpreting, the thesis would show how the theory works in practice. Finally, some skills and methods of consecutive interpreting practice of The Vampire Diaries will be discussed.It is vital to remember shortly and react quickly in consecutive interpreting. Interpreting non-subtitle dramas is an effective way to train short-time memory. Besides some short conversations and long voice-overs are good materials for note-taking. And all these practice will finally draw an attention to a self-fitness of note-taking. After the practice, it is useful to find subtitle translation and make a comparison, to make some corrections and improvements and to consider why sometimes interpreting results could make even better results than translation. All these practice would make a solid foundation for later formal interpreting practice.
