Present Situation And Countermeasure Research Of The Elderly’s Community Service Demand In The Unit Type Community

In the21st century, China is an irreversible aging country. Compared with western developed countries, our country’s economic development level is far behind the growth rate of the population aging,"old before rich" becomes a feature of our country’s social development. Population aging will inevitably brings many problems to the development of the society, the effective methods to alleviate these problems is to develop the elderly social work. Due to the physical limitations, the elderly’s main activity places focus on their living community, obviously, the old social work should focus on the elderly community service. Then, how to establish an effective mechanism of the elderly community service to meet the material and spiritual needs, will be discussd in this paper. To speed up the development of the elderly community service is an effective measure to solve the aging of China. The elderly community service has positive meaning both for the nowaday and future old people.Through the research and analysis to the present situation, difficulties and requirements of the elderly community service in Z university community of Wu Han, this article will discuss the importance and necessity of community service to the old people in Z university community, combining with the characteristics of the unit type community, especially focuses on the elderly community service’s carrying out and future development in unit type communities, providing professional services and practical basis for the elderly community service. This paper adopts questionnaire survey and interview ways, in the cooperation of the community residents’ committees, members of Community practice team carry out household survey. Research objects are posited in old people of60and over60living in Z university community. This article’s research object is not the general community, but the unit community that has the particularity, therefore, in this paper, we mainly study the services what the community itself can do for the elderly in the community, not research out of community, such as community service offered by other social agencies. This article takes the combination of questionnaire and interview method to collect data, mainly because of considering the subject of the study and research’s actual condition, this research mainly surveys the current situations of the elderly community service. Before today, there is a lot of successfully related researchs only use questionnaire survey, the author chooses the interview method which is more challenging, dictated by respondents themselves, to capture their ture thoughts form the perspective of more slimly, more widely.
