Large-scale hydraulic engineering construction caused a large number of reservoir resettlementwhich are inevitable, reservoir resettlement is an important part of the construction of water conservancy and hydropower projects, achievements and benefits of water conservancy and hydropower construction,contains a huge contribution and sacrifice of millions of reservoir resettlement. In the pages of history, managing water, contains a history of reservoir resettlement.The Yellow River Xiaolangdi Multipurpose Dam Project,which is the key construction projects during The NinthNational Five-year plan, and which was also one of the two major backbone water conservancy projectduring20th century in China, is the last large reservoir of the middle reaches of the Yellow River.lt is also a major strategic measure in harnessing the Yellow River, which the CCP and the Chinese Government effort to harnessing the Yellow River, after the PRC has established.The whole project investment which cost RMB34.7billion is dominated by flood control, ice jam flood control, and silt reduction, taking into account the comprehensive benefits of water supply, irrigation, power generation and large water conservancy project. The maximum water level of the reservoir is275m, the reservoir area is272.3square kilometers, the backwater of the reservoir is130km in length, and the total storage capacity of the reservoir is12.65billion cubic meters. The reservoir increase downstream water supply4billion cubic meters per year and enhance the usage of15million acres of irrigated area of downstream water and maintenance of11.52million hectares of drought and irrigation, benefiting130million people.In particular, the Francis water turbine generator unit which has the capacity of1.8million-kilowattin total and the capacity of5.1billion-kilowatt per hour, has a considerable economic benefit.The submerged area involved in8counties,29towns,174villages of Henan and Shanxi provinces. Reservoir resettlement of182500people, of whom173,000were agriculture oriented population. Resettlement area involving13counties and69communes of Henan and Shanxi provinces, planning of resettlement points of some203.The Yuanqu County is a mountain areas. The submerged area of Yuanqu is in the center of reservoir area, which the back water is35km in length and the areais more than100square kilometers.Submerged area is mainly through in the territory of the Yellow River coastal and the area which the Xiyang River, the Yun River, the boqing River, the Banjian River, Wufujian River, which located in Yuanqu county,debouche into thetheYellow River and its zone in depth and where there are abundance of water and fertilizer, mild climate and economic prosperity. The total population affected by submerged area is42,000and the total land affected by submerged area is99706.5acres, which include42840.5acres of cultivated land. Submerged areainvolved42administrative villages of7township,164residents,4township governments and138Enterprises. Following the track of the reservoir of the construction of Xiaolangdi Dam, focusing on Yuanqu resettlement issues, with the historiography of beginners of piety and respect for history, exploringproblem of the Xiaolangdi Dam reservoir immigrants in Yuanqu, I hope this article can be reference to realityThis articleis divided into three chapters. Chapter one is focuses on three parts:first is the natural geographical environment and socio-economic status of the Xiaolangdi reservoir area, second is background and construction survey of Xiaolangdi Multipurpose Dam project, and third is an overview of Xiaolangdi reservoir resettlement. Chapter two is the main part of this document which highlights on the Xiaolangdi resettlement procedure involved in Yuanquin all aspects of immigration. Chapter three is the impact analysis of the resettlement of migrants.
