Every nation has never ceased anti-poverty.Since the founding of new china in1949，china’s government has been engaged in thepoverty alleviation to the country，especially after the reform and opening-up in1978，China’s poverty alleviation policy made a clear definition on poverty alleviationand development strategy，and has made great achievements. Basically solved theproblem of food and clothing for the poor in China，greatly reduced the incidence ofpoverty and poor. population Therefore，the research on pro-poor policy after reformand opening up is a matter of concern. This article will comprehensively and systemdescribe the china government poverty alleviation policy after the reform andopening-up，analysis its characteristics，then discuss the new development andtheoretical basis of the poverty alleviation policy on the basis of this，put forwardpoints for attention to formulate future poverty alleviation policy.
