Research On The Problems And Countermeasures Of China’s Civil Service Examination System

Civil servants, recruited by merit system，are the essential phase of certain administrative aspectsof government. Currently, the civil-servant system has been established in many countries. Thecivil-servant employment system by examination is the symbol and fundamental characteristic of thecivil-servant system. The establishment and execution of the civil-servant employment system byexamination in our country fully embodies the profound reform of the cadre and human resourcemechanism. In the current situation, an urgent task to promote socio-economic development is toimprove the level of quality of public servants and consolidate the civil service system, which enablesthe government to increase work efficiency. Since the civil service examination system started adecade ago, as a part of the national civil service, has transported a large number of elites to thecountry. The rapid and stable development of the political economy improves the efficiency ofgovernment agencies. Thus, the civil service examination system can not only conveying elites for thecountry, but also be able to improve the efficiency of government agencies significantly. China’scurrent civil service examination system, which absorbing the essence of the ancient imperialexamination system, is combined with the practical situation. It has passed the test of time and socialinspection, and formed an effective and reasonable system for the selection of personnel. But at thesame time, we should also recognize the shortage in system. The system still needs to be tested inpractice to be refined.In this paper, the civil service examination system is to be analyzed and the problems exist forin-depth discussion, and make some proposed measures to improve the scientific and rational system.I wish I could make a little contribution for China’s civil service system of recruiting.
