The Research Of Cultivating Mechanisms Of Chinese Urban Community Social Organizations Of Xuhui District In Shanghai

Over the past three decades, Chinese society has undergone enormous changes,in urban community, a large number of community organizations have beenwitnessed to be growing. Along with the acceleration of social transformation andcontinuous proceeding of community-building, Urban Community SocialOrganizations has played an increasingly important role both in communitygovernance and the construction of harmonious society.Along with the development of Shanghai municipal social organization, XuhuiDistrict Community Social Organizations have made some achievements, and also didsome explorations of localization. However, according to the current circumstances,there still exist many difficulties on their development which needed to be solved.Therefore, Government will need to take development of Urban Community SocialOrganizations as an important issue, endeavour to find the solution of manybottleneck problems, and establish a more effective mechanism for fostering UrbanCommunity Social Organization.This paper discusses the significance of cultivating mechanisms of UrbanCommunity Social Organizations, analyzes the status quo of domestic andinternational study on the relevant theory and practice, introduces the researchmethods and basic ideas. Then illustrates the theoretical basis and policyenvironment for fostering Urban Community Social Organizations, recalls theirdomestic development process, and analyzes their development background bothfrom synchronic and diachronic dimensions and central and local angles. It provides arealistic basis on better promotion of organizational development. The paperanalyzes the circumstances of mechanisms of cultivating community socialorganizations in Xuhui District in terms of scale, activity field, funding source and etc.,introduces the relevant measures, effectiveness and limitations of the Xuhui Districtgovernments nurturing community social organizations, and also anatomizes theproblems to solve the difficulties on their cultivation based on an practical example from Linyun community of Xuhui District，therefore provides the domestic andforeign experience reference in terms of policies related to development space,financing support, human resource and network platform. Chapter Five makes policysuggestions and mechanism design for the cultivation of community socialorganizations in Xuhui District.
