Recently, international trade keeps rising at a dizzy rate. As trade keepsincreasing, developing countries gradually become the raw material storage, thehigh-pollution labor-intensive products processing factory and dump of thedeveloped countries. Because of the import of hazardous waste, the ecologicalenvironment of developing countries is facing severe challenges. The problems ininternational waste trade are increasingly evident. The most notable problem is theethical issues. Based on the current international waste trade joint pledge, the basicethical norms, and the effects on the ecological environment, this article analyzesmain ethical issues in international trade, and analyzes the causes from theperspectives of politics, economics, culture, environment and so on, and thenanalyzes on the way solving the ethical issues in international waste trade bymaking the international waste trade joint pledge more reasonable, building the basicethical norms of international waste trade with mutual respect and integrity, andestablishing a benign global ecological ethics system.There are five chapters in this article. The first chapter is the introduction,briefly describes the research background and significance, the related concepts andcharacteristics of international waste trade, the domestic and international literaturereview, and the outlines and innovations of this article. The second chapter analyzesthe main ethical issues in international waste trade, and outlines the causes from theunfairness, ethical anomie and damages to the ecological environment in theinternational waste trade. The third chapter analyzes why it happens from theperspectives of political status, the benefit conflicts and ethical norms, and points outthat the abuse of global politics, economy and fair trade by some developedcountries, and ignoring on environmental protection and being oriented to economicinterests by some developing countries, impacts of the "western center theory" and"Anthropocentrism", and the short sight of people on the ecological environment leads to the ethical issues in international waste trade. The last chapter figures out theway of solving the ethical issues in international waste trade by making the BaselConvention and Protocol on liability and compensation more reasonable, buildingthe basic ethical norms of international waste trade with mutual respect and integrity,and establishing a benign global ecological ethics system.
