Based on the analysis of the teaching modes, this paper investigatesthe ’’Middlebury Modes’’ in terms of its theory, goals, processingprocedures, teaching methodology and strategies as well as evaluationsystem. Through the analysis of comparison of the ’’Middlebury Model’’and the XISU short-term intensive chinese courses,the author hopes toconstruct the XISU short-term intensive Chinese teaching with ’’brand’’effect from the analysis above. In addition, this paper provides somereference for the localization of the project, and it also makes ameaningful contribution to the international promotion of Cineselanguage.The author uses Investigation method,Comparison method and othersmethods to discuss in the different six parts as follows:Chapter1introduces the reason of selecting this topic, and ti’s anoverview of the status of the teaching mode.Chapter2investigates the ’’Middlebury Modes’’ in terms of its theory,goals, processing procedures, teaching methodology and strategies aswell as evaluation system by using the Investigation method andDocumentation method.Chapter3analyses the comparison of the ’’Middlebury Model’’ andthe XISU short-term intensive chinese courses.Chapter4, with the inspiration of the ’’Middlebury mode’’, the authordiscusses the construction of XISU short-term intensive Chinese teachingmode.Chapter5explains the significance of constructing the XISUshort-term intensive Chinese teaching mode.Chapter6gives a conclusion of the paper.
