Comparative Study Of American Nuclear Policy Factors

China’s nuclear power policy largely determines the pace of nuclear power development. The influence factors of nuclear power policy in international relations view have two levels:internal affairs and diplomacy. The former is related to the nation, the latter emphasizes the impact of the international system. On the interior perspective, China’s nuclear power policy mainly influenced by these factors such as the traditional energy, other new energy power and some opposition to build nuclear power plants. All these China’s nuclear power policy influence factors are domestic elements. On foreign policy perspective, China’s nuclear power policy is mainly influenced by these factors such as nuclear non-proliferation system restriction, the threat of nuclear terrorism and geopolitics. These factors are the international factors of China’s nuclear power policy. For the United States, its nuclear policy is also under the influence of domestic and international factors. This paper uses double game theory as the theory basis for the research of nuclear power policy, by using the method of level analysis, attempts to analyze the domestic and international factors of nuclear power policy between China and America. The paper tries to explain China’s nuclear policy and make suggestions to the development of China’s nuclear power policy.
