| Objective:This research investigated the relationship among job stress, coping styles and sleep quality of the Armed Police Soldier, on the basis of reviewing the literature, a structural model was proposed and the assumption was examined by the path analysis, so that provides some empirical basis for the soldiers improve sleep quality in the actual work.Method:This study used questionnaire surveys and in-depth interviews, randomly selected500Armed Police Soldiers. Using the Military Occupational Stress Scale, the Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire and the Soldier Sleep Quality Scale to test their job stress, coping style and sleep quality.Results:(1) There are not significant differences between conscripts and volunteer, the Only-child and the Non-Only-child in the sleep quality.(2)There are significant differences between the rural and the urban in the incubation period of sleep quality.(3)There are significant differences between the high sleep quality group and low sleep quality group in job stress and coping style.(4)There are significant relation among Armed Police Soldier’sjob stress、coping style and sleep quality.(5)The results of path analysis showed that coping style plays partial intermediary role in the personal development and military life on the sleep quality, plays a notable fully intermediary role in unclear roles, leadership and marriage and family on the marital quality.Conclusion:(1) Armed Police soldiers’sleep quality differ from their living environments before being admitted.(2) Different working pressures will produce different effects on the quality of sleep, Armed Police Soldiers take more negative coping styles to deal with job stress.(3) When the Armed Police Soldiers faced with different kind of job stress, they choose a different way of coping.(4)There are significant relation among Armed Police Soldier’s job stress、coping style and sleep quality, coping style plays partial intermediary role in the job stress on the sleep quality. |
